This reference owns no scales and no samples. Figures are taken from published sources and linked where they are used, or they are counts of what other people publish.

Which sources are used?

Primary literature, published standards, and the specification text sellers put on their own product pages.

The last of those is treated as a claim by its author rather than as a fact, and the page says so.

What does an original figure mean here?

It means a count: so many pages read, on a stated date, with the total and the buckets shown so the reading can be repeated.

Nothing here is weighed, compressed or timed. A count of what is published is a different and smaller claim, and it is the only original claim this site makes.

What triggers a correction?

A superseded standard, a page rewritten since it was counted, or a reader who finds the tally does not add up.

The wrong sentence is the one that gets edited, and the review date underneath moves with it.
